"If You Want t To Change Your Life, You Need To Change Your Environment”
A couple of weeks ago I went to a Grant Cardone 10x seminar.
If you aren’t familiar with him, he is the author of the "10x Rule", speaker, real estate investor, and sales trainer.
He can be a little intense and I understand that people can be turned off by his arrogance and choice language.
After all, he’s had a ton of success and I was there to learn from him, not judge his delivery.
But one thing he said really resonated with me.
“If You Want To Change Your Life, You Need To Change Your Environment”
This was something that had be both excited and nervous at the same time.
I was exited about what I could become, what I could accomplish, and the places I could go.
But I was nervous about what and who I might have to give up to get it.
This sacrifice is a real fear that exists, not only in me but in many others as well.
We are at the time of year where many people have already forgotten that they made a vow to change their life just less than a month ago.
Mainly due to the fact that they wanted to change their life but never made an attempt to change their environment.
Changing your environment can be a simple tweak or a major change depending on what it is you hope to accomplish.
For example, when I’m trying to lose weight or eat healthier, I don’t buy any cookies, ice cream, or other types of food that would derail my success.
If it’s in the pantry I’m eating it, if I have to drive to the store for it, eh, I guess I don’t need it that bad.
That is a simple change of environment that can lead to a life change.
Some more significant life changes need more significant environmental changes.
Something like moving to a new house, or state, or even country. Switching jobs, relationship changes. Things like that.
3 friends of mine, who happen to be amazing real estate agents as well, decided it was time for them to change their lives.
When they took the chance to join me on a new, unproven journey, they changed their environment.
They changed their environment from what was comfortable and what was easy, to something that was unknown and could prove to be more difficult.
Because they wanted to be the best versions of themselves and the environment they were previously in couldn’t support the growth they desired.
Care to know what happened?
In less than 12 months Jeff & Lynn hit the coveted Icon status in our company, climbing into the top 500 real estate agents in the state of Utah out of 9,000 agents.
And Mindy was just announced as the Branch Manager in the Spokane region.
I couldn’t be happier for all of them, this is only the beginning of their accomplishments and I can’t wait to see how far they continue to grow.
Congratulations on your accomplishments Jeff, Lynn, and Mindy!
They are just a tiny portion of the success stories I have seen over the last 2 years.
They are a perfect reminder that…
"If You Want t To Change Your Life, You Need To Change Your Environment”
