Well, that saying is true to a point because it's not the words people hurl at you that hurt you, It's the words you tell yourself about yourself that do the most harm.  Never worry about the negative things people say to hurt you. Nine times out of ten that person is someone you considered a friend and they hurt you by saying something to you, that you wouldn't dream of saying to them.  Walk away from people who use words to belittle you. They have no place in your life.
