Learn Hebrew Pod – Speak Conversational Hebrew

Israel is a true haven for fruit and vegetable lovers. Learn all the words in Hebrew for the ones that you like best. Warning: this Hebrew podcast lesson may cause extreme hunger!

Liat and Eran, our two Israelis, meet for the first time. In this first lesson of our Beginner’s Hebrew course, you will learn how to ask someone’s name and greet them in Hebrew.

Add sparkle to your greetings with *na-im me-od* and three cheerful ways to wish someone a great day, then see how Hebrew flips adjective-noun order as you practice aloud together.

Put your knowledge to work: review the Lesson 1 greeting dialogue line-by-line, drill key words like *shalom* and *na-im me-od*, then flip the script—translate English prompts into Hebrew until polite introductions roll off your tongue.

Start your day with “good morning” and a little Hebrew chit-chat. After this Hebrew podcast lesson, you’ll be ready for a casual meeting with a new Israeli friend.

Demystify Hebrew suffixes for gender and number—*ma shlomcha*, *shlomech*, *shlomchem*, *shlomchen*—and lock them in with quick translation drills.

Rehearse the morning greeting exchange: shadow native speakers through *boker tov* and *ma shlomcha/ma shlomech*, answer back in real time, and translate a rapid-fire list of words such as *toda*, *me-od*, and *lehitraot*.

Do you work? Or maybe study? Maybe both? What is your field? In this lesson, we’ll be learning the Hebrew words to answer all these questions!

Meet the power of Hebrew roots: watch L-M-D and R-K-D branch into verbs like “study,” “work,” and “dance,” while you master the easy present-tense patterns they create.

Take the mic: recite Liat and Eran’s student-life monologues, swap *ani lomed/ani lomedet*, and speed-translate sentences that mix “study” and “work” verbs until the rhythm feels natural.
