Dehumanizing Florida legislative laws that have impacted what is being taught in the classrooms in Florida is not only impacting the students and their families but school administrators, educators, and administrative and support staff in Florida that are being adopted by other states in the United States to duplicate.
What to expect in this Learn Series:
We will give you the background legislative laws that have been enacted in Florida
We will give examples of the actions being taken by these laws on Critical Race Theory, Inclusion, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
We will discuss how the Safer Communities Act 2022 addresses Mental Health in Schools. Still, Florida State Legislators' perspectives and legislation are disconnected from the link between Mental Health and SEL.
We will discuss the research from expert and theoretical frameworks
We will introduce Self-Awareness and Self-Management Strategies to help with Self-Reflection
We will invite everyone to what you can do to become an advocate and practitioner of Social and Emotional Learning for others to take responsibility for the same.
