Therese's Take On It is a personal perspective of issues that toxic, dehumanizing, and disenfranchisement culture from legislators and co-signers to deny Blacks, Indigenous, and People of Color History and Culture! When it comes to Trauma Affected people dealing with traumatic triggering environments.  This episode is in conjunction with my post-doctoral degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Trauma-Informed Practices and Social and Emotional Learning. In this episode, we will discuss four questions that will evoke openness that involves the quality of critical thinking, self-reflection, and sensitivity to differences. Trauma-sensitive learning environments are much needed in public education classrooms for teachers and school administrators.  Teachers are not babysitters but caregivers. However, teachers and school administrators must strengthen their emotional and social skills. For example, how to communicate effectively and how academic professionals at all levels handle stressful situations in the classroom and throughout school campuses. 

Mr. Earnest Gamble, Sr is an African American, Gen-X, Male who was a parent, volunteer, and then a headstart substitute teacher in Jacksonville Urban League Early Childhood Education Learning Center as a floater in predominate communities of color neighborhoods during 1991-1993, where it was a dire need for children of color to have the basic communication, reading, writing, mathematical skills to prepare them for first grade in Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, FL.
