Members of the class of 1959, the first graduating class at Einstein, share memories from their days at the College of Medicine and the impact Einstein has had on their lives. Rare archival material and personal interviews bring to life Einstein’s history and founding mission: to establish a distinctive institution - one open to all, with a commitment to patients, community, and the highest standards of excellence. Recent alumni and current faculty discuss Einstein’s continued dedication to collaborative and humanistic medicine and the pursuit of excellence.

Einstein’s Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) provides evaluation and treatment to children and adults with developmentally disabling conditions. One of the largest centers of its kind, CERC provides diagnostic, therapeutic and related services to 800 children and families a year. CERC is also committed to aiding research that will lead to better treatments and prevention of these disorders. Robert Marion, M.D., director of CERC, as well as patients, and their parents describe the center’s services and share success stories.

Medical students discuss Einstein’s diverse student body, campus life, commitment to global health, and dedication to community outreach, including their participation in the student-coordinated Einstein Community Health Outreach (ECHO) Free Clinic.

Einstein has a history of fostering diversity in its student body and faculty. Its efforts include mentoring high school and undergraduate students to prepare for medical and scientific careers; recruiting students traditionally underrepresented in medicine; and providing support to students once they enter Einstein.
