On this special podcast, Amy Sherman of Behind the Mitten talks to Erin Schmitz, Historic Sites Director at the Lakeshore Museum Center in Muskegon. She talks about the return of the annual Hackley and Hume Houses holiday tours.

Visitors will be able to see the houses decorated beautifully for the holidays by Muskegon’s local community groups with period-appropriate artifacts, ornaments and more!

Throughout the season, Perry’s Pines will also be selling Christmas trees and wreaths in the courtyard.

It has been a tradition since 1972 that community groups adopt a room and this year YOU will get to vote for the best-decorated room. Receive 2 voting tickets FREE with your admission and purchase more voting opportunities in the gift shop for $1 per ticket or 6 for $5. Voting ends December 28.

All dates are walk-through tours where visitors can experience the houses decorated for the Holidays. No registration required.
