He picked this area because it’s less crowded than Rattanakosin, and it’s close to the BTS, making it super easy to get around. He plans to stay in an Airbnb condo for a month, check out the local spots, and chill around here, especially since the rainy season might bring afternoon showers.

After talking with Aunt Su, she asked for Jay’s LINE ID, offering him a place to stay in Bangkok or on Koh Samui. On the plane, Jay switched seats with a Thai mother so she could sit next to her daughter. The mother asked Jay about his trip, and they had a friendly conversation about their lives. She shared her love for Thailand, especially the islands in the south, and expressed her desire to move there one day. This made Jay curious about visiting southern Thailand in the future.

Jay, a 23-year-old Thai-German, is taking his first solo trip to Thailand, where he was born but hasn’t visited since childhood.
