Learn To Calm Your Nervous System

Do you feel overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious?

Today, we share three ways that you can calm your nervous system:

  1. Conscious and deep breathing. When consumed with anxiety, your breath is short. Shallow breath is keeping you on edge. Breathing is a powerful gift that you can give yourself.
  2. Be present now. Don’t get lost in the “what if.” If you find yourself worried about the future, find a way to be present now. Meditation, walking with intention, breathing, and exercising are ways to be present in the now.
  3. Stop multi-tasking. To stay calm, you need to focus on one thing at a time. Your nervous system requires you to stay grounded.

Take out a piece of paper and brain dump the things that are on your mind. Then, prioritize the list by most important to least important. Lastly, focus on achieving one thing at a time.
