The Girl with the Red Scarf

The Turkish film The Girl with the Red Scarf is a romantic Turkish movie released in 1978.

Atif Yilmaz directed the film, which was based on the book The Red Scarf, written by Chingiz Aitmatov.

Ali Ozgenturk adapted the book for the screen, and the film stars Kadir Inanir, Ahmet Mekin, and Turkan Soray.

The film explores the questions of what love is and also what makes someone into a father or a spouse.

It seems pretty clear throughout the movie that love is a major struggle for the characters.

The story focuses on Ilyas, who is a truck driver.

He drives through a distant village, but his truck ends up getting stuck in the mud.

While he is in the village, he falls in love with a girl named Asya and ends up marrying her.

They have a child together, but unfortunately Ilyas develops a drinking problem and has an affair.

Eventually he leaves her behind because the stress of his job puts too much pressure on him.

Asya waits for a long time for him to come back, but eventually she falls in love with another man named Cemsit. Asya’s son develops a fondness for Cemsit and sees him as a father figure.

Asya eventually gives in to his affections, but the story doesn’t end there.

After many years, Ilyas finally returns home and demands his family back. Their love is rekindled after all, however the couple can not get back together.
