Working hard is essential, but we have to remember to reflect and be creative. If we are burning out, we will end up resenting our work. We must take the time to reflect on our energy and effort. Don’t listen to people telling you what you can or can’t do. Remember that correlation does not imply causation. Don’t let anyone put you in a box for why you’re a certain way or what you can or can’t do. People are doing things everyday they “shouldn’t” be able to do. This podcast is about dialing in work routines and the strategy of documenting and using my own preparation and experiences as content to provide value, spread awareness, and improve my own skill set.

A big part of this is journey is breaking out of my comfort zone and entering new challenges and facing fears. For most of us putting our ideas and personalities into the public is a bit scary. This is no exception, but in reality there is nothing to fear.

Whenever doubt creeps in and I think it won’t be good enough I think about what the average person is paying attention to on mainstream TV, radio, social media, etc. I quickly come to the conclusion that what is worthwhile is subjective to the person listening or watching, and that if I improve during the process and even just a few people get value from it then it was a successful project.

I think an often overlooked aspect of today’s economy is the possibilities of mini economies and the ability to reach an audience that wasn’t always reachable. There are people with minimal supporters that they provide value to and in return have a great base of support. In the past people needed the gatekeepers of mainstream media in order to be heard. Today we can reach an audience that appreciates our viewpoint and grow this organically.

The transparency of this content will attract like minded people that appreciate my values and they will follow and help spread the message. The people that don’t appreciate it will understandably go to another account to give their attention. This is about going deeper into my real audience rather than casting a wide net for everyone.
