from a very young age I (like many of us) was led to believe that putting everyone else before myself was admirable. I was taught that selfishness was "bad" & shameful. this led to years of excessive people pleasing + neglecting my own needs resulting in me being sicker, more unhappier & farther away from myself than ever. & it wasn't until I learned how to be selfish that I was able to start picking up the pieces.
today we are deconstructing what society teaches us about selfishness, discussing why being selfish benefits not only us + our well-being but also those around us, & learning ways to start putting your own needs + desires first.
