Being a female did not hold Susan back from her passion for being a diesel mechanic and eventually being a truck driver. Positive thinking and gratitude changes our lives. Susan says, "Tell someone how much you appreciate them. Smile. Open the door." These small things can make a BIG difference.

Valerie described how her past haunted how she approached the future, but through writing, support, and a new outlook on her values she was able to draw on love for change. She drew an analogy between how we can look at each day and moment as an opportunity to give thanks and express gratitude for what we have or see in our lives.
