Learning to "give paw" 🐾 (25/05/2026)

Listen Later

This heartwarming and funny video features Cynni and their young pup, Koa. Koa is a male, chocolate brown Labrador Retriever, born on February 25, 2026, who sports an adorable small strip of white fur right in the middle of his chest. Because this is a video, there is no maximum character limit for this description, allowing for an elaborate, loving, caring, and accurate account of their training session together.

The video begins with a top-down perspective, looking at sweet little Koa sitting on a wooden floor. Cynni explains in Dutch that Koa had just successfully given his paw twice in a row before the video started, but jokingly predicts that now that the camera is recording, things will likely go wrong. Cynni offers their hand to Koa, asking for his paw. Instead of a paw, silly Koa excitedly tilts his head up and playfully nibbles on Cynni's fingers. Cynni laughs and observes, "The paw was fun, but my fingers are in your mouth!" ("Het pootje was leuk, maar mijn vingers zitten in je bek").

Realizing a change of scenery might help the energetic puppy focus, Cynni moves the camera as Koa settles into his cozy, green plush dog bed nearby, where a few of his toys are resting. Cynni patiently tells Koa to sit ("Zit") and asks for a paw ("Pootje"). Koa enthusiastically tries to use his mouth again. Cynni gently but firmly corrects him, saying "Nee" (No) and reminding him not to eat their fingers ("Niet vingers opeten").

With loving persistence, Cynni tries again, and this time, Koa perfectly places his little brown paw right into Cynni's hand. Cynni's voice immediately fills with pride as they praise him enthusiastically: "Goed zo! Koa's pootje! Ja!" (Good boy! Koa's paw! Yes!) and quickly rewards the clever pup with a small cookie.

Wanting to reinforce the good behavior, Cynni asks for his paw one more time. Koa happily obliges, gently resting his paw in their hand once again. "Goed zo! Koa pootje! Wat knap van jou," (Good boy! Koa paw! How smart of you), Cynni says lovingly, rewarding him with another well-deserved treat.

The video concludes with an affectionate chuckle from Cynni, who humorously summarizes their puppy's learning process: depending on his mood, Koa will either eat your fingers, give a beautiful paw, or offer a hilarious combination of both. "Tot de volgende keer!" (Until next time!) Cynni signs off, wrapping up a perfectly imperfect training session.
