As I have joined the Love Is__ craze (Thanks Jam), I have watched every episode at least twice with the sole intention of catching whatever nuances I missed the first time. There is so much revelation in this show that I will be dissecting in future episodes (so catch up if you're behind, or start so that you can be in the know), however what I've been most impressed with is the self confidence of Yasir (one of the main characters). Despite not having what many women deem the essentials, he still pursues what he wants throwing caution to the wind. He is so confident in who he is beyond his circumstances that he relentlessly pursues his heart's desires and eventually wins! I thought to myself how many of us would have more wins in our lives if we just had more confidence in who we are in Christ! Our confidence is strengthened as we become more intimately acquainted with Jesus. The more we know Him the more we'll come to know ourselves! And it is only when you know who you are that you can confidently and without hesitation pursue the things He has called you to accomplish because you know that He can be trusted. In this episode I discuss the two types of confidence and use Scripture to help us deepen our awareness of who He is so that we can truly know who we are and the power of being authentic! It's one thing to know something but it's quite another when what you know becomes operational in your life!
