How is your heart today? Does it feel like a Sacred Garden or more like a sack of heavy rocks? I have to admit, mine was feeling more like a sack of rocks this morning. Very heavy from busy, hectic, crowded events of the past few weeks. Yet the memory of the garden and the yearning to feel it again is still in there, and very strong. The heart is a garden, and like every garden, it needs constant tending or else the weeds will overtake it and choke out the fruit-bearing plants.
As I was weeding my heart-garden with my morning meditation practice, the song “Just Give Me a Reason” by Pink came to mind.
“Just give me a reason
It’s in the stars
It’s in the stars, and we are literally stardust. The pathway we travel leaves the scars on our hearts and these can lead us home. We’re not broken, just best. The love is still inside us. We just need to clear the pathways to find the way back home – home to the garden of love inside. In today’s Prayer & Healing Circle, we’ll come together to tend our gardens and clear the pathway to the love inside. We’ll open the passageway for the love to flow again. You’re invited to join us. As always, you are welcome to bring your prayers for personal struggles, challenges of and with those you care about, for peace, for fulfillment, and for the health and sustainability of our planet. Bring whatever is on your heart. Come as you are, receive, heal and grow. Please invite your friends to join us, too.
