Leave No Trace by Roxe Anne Peacock

Jessica is about to graduate High School but things are starting to fall apart. Her best friend and class valedictorian is missing and Jessica is going to be giving Sandy's speech instead. Then Jessica is told another classmate is missing. It can't be a coincidence that two of the graduating senior girls have disappeared can it? How does that happen? I don't want to tell anymore of the plot because I don't want to give any spoilers but it is a good one that includes some slithery critters and dark caverns.

Ms. Peacock has given us a very interesting, suspensful and intriguing mystery set in the southwestern United States in the Carlsbad Caverns area. The story is very well written with characters who are believable, sympathetic and compelling. Each time I read one of Ms. Peacock's novels I am impressed with her ability to bring her young adult characters to life.

The storyline is well developed and the characters' back stories make sense and are added appropriately to move the plot forward. With good dialogue that is realistic and a bit of romance that is age appropriate to its target audience, this story moves forward at a good pace and flow.

While this is a YA novel it is one that can be enjoyed by adults as well.

With me not being a lover of Mysteries. I loved the way Roxe Anne presented her book. I read it on my fire and I could not put it down. I was kept in suspense all the way through it. I kept thinking this person did it or that person did it. I was really surprised I read it all the way through. I am not big reader.

If you want a book to keep you on the edge of your seat then read Without a Trace.

Great book Roxe Anne. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to read more of your books

a well.written book that lingers in your mind after you finish it

this was the 1st book i read by this author.i realize it's for young adults but i as an adult also found it compelling.the setting in that small town in the southwest was well-drawn.the characters seemed so real,it was about genuine likeable people i could identify with.the plot draws you in.i won't spoil it but i was so worried about the lovely protagonist and i was torn between just reading a little at a time and devouring it in one session.i will definitely read another book by her.

Easy, quick read. Enjoyed

Was surprised to find I enjoyed the book once the snakes were introduced. I have a phobia, but I was also anxious to find out the ending so continued on.
