It was not the best of Crosby stories

It was not the best of Crosby stories, but It answered some questions of another. If you have read To Speak No Evil or Tell No Lies this will answer some lingering questions. There are some good nuggets. One quote read, "There is a fine line between emotion and numbness when you're drunk." Another meaningful quote was, "Ever event in a person's life is connected. The state of our lives, at any given time, is the sum of everything we have done and everywhere we have been." I certainly related to Florence Willodean Aldridge, when she said, "Every day that passes with my daughter slipping further and further out of my reach..."

Awesome Story

This is a great companion story for Speak No Evil & Tell No LIes...it lets us see some of Flo's demons & doubts she has lived with since the death of her son, her conflicted feelings for her daughters & her need to control from beyond the grave. The attention to detail is characteristic of this author's writing...you can feel the heat & humidity that is Charleston...you can just smell the mud flats & feel Flo's fear.

Leave No Trace

ooohhh, I knew it! Will we find out in Augusta's story? Amazing to me how much we 'think' we know someone but we don't see the inner person. The demons that may or may not be present in that person's life that makes them the way they are. I guess that's why they say Don't judge a person until you've walked miles in their shoes! Can't wait to read the next story.

I'm from the south and love this setting. I have enjoyed this trilogy and am awaiting the next one!

Suspenseful mystery with Romance intwined

The old south at it's best and throw in a mystery.........then add two people trying to do their jobs while falling hard for each other.

Add sisters and a mom no one really understood. Very intriguing..........you won't put it down!!
