Sam takes us through his inspiring journey from quitting his job as an electrical engineer to becoming the driving force behind his own rum brand. After a series of workplace incidents, Sam made the decision to leave his job, which set him on the path to pursue an idea that had been simmering in his mind for some time: Spiced Rum. He opens up about the passion that fuelled him and how the pressure to succeed became the motivating force behind his decision.

While some people were hesitant to offer support, Sam’s unwavering determination and his strong network were key factors in launching his brand helped by a cosign from Stormzy. Throughout his story, it’s clear just how deeply Sam cares about his company, and how no matter the challenges, he never gave up. His persistence, belief in himself, and the right team have played a huge part in his success.
