Genesis 26:24

Abraham is the first person God calls His servant.

All servants in Scripture:

1. are called by God.

2. walked with God.

3. were committed to the mission of God.

If we want to be servants, we have to be passionate about this too.

If people were to look inside you and examine your life, what kind of servant would they find?

Matthew 20:20-28

Whoever wants to be a leader must be a servant. Whoever wants to be first must be a slave.

Jesus was calling His disciples to something He, Himself, was doing.

See a need. Fill a need.

Our world is changed when followers of Jesus seek out opportunities to serve.

We can leave a legacy by engaging in the spiritual discipline of hospitality.

When you pour the cup, God uses it to make an impact on His Kingdom.

We should process everything through the lens of our faith.

John 8 - The truth of God will give us true freedom. By His grace, there is freedom from the penalty of sin.

People experience the welcome of God through your welcome - your open hands, open hearts, open homes.

The heart behind our welcome is Jesus.

Romans 15:7 - "Accept one another, just as Christ accepted you."

Luke 15 - Parable of the Lost Son shows us how God the Father welcomes the outcast.

As disciples, our goal is to reflect the heart of God and model the example of Jesus.
