Human relationships are complex in their nature. People coexist with each other in the world where conflict and differences in their lives occur and learning how to effectively manage those problems can have a great impact on the quality of the relationships.

Meet Bassam Khoreich, a man with one of the biggest smiles that I’ve seen. Before getting to know Bassam’s story, I would’ve thought he was the happiest man alive. His smile tells a thousand stories, but I would have never guessed the hardship Bassam and his family had to face. Bassam is one of the most positive people that I’ve met, and that is exactly why I had to share his story.

A young man who experienced the suffering of depression and anxiety from the very young age of 12. His name is Matthew Caruana

A young man who decided at the age of 16 to end his life, with the hope to end the suffering of existing in a world of sadness and pain.

But that man is here with us today.

As a different man…Stronger, Wiser, and Happier than ever before.

Unfortunately, His attempt to end his life resulted in the heavy injury of his Spinal Cord.

Nevertheless, that attempt was also a blessing, a milestone of a new life that would give the strength to others to fight their own demons.

Nowadays, Matt is a public speaker and speaks to millions around the world.

He touches hearts with his words and creates the purpose of living a meaningful life by connecting with others.

Matt is a survivor.

The correlation between practising a physical form of violence and developing the sound psychological qualities of courage and behavioural control indicates the spiritual aspect of Martial Arts. In some forms of Martial Arts, there is some esoteric knowledge that is reserved for the ones that qualify.

This open embracement was erotism was characterized by Christianity as a moral degeneration and the sexual life of the people, as a carefree joy of life, came into focus. With Christianity, the glorification of virginity, and the moral austerity culminating in the Middle Ages.

In this podcast, the former professor of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Sydney, Dr Philip Quadrio, demonstrates a deep analysis concerning the origins of religion and the need of humans to find God.

Dr Philip Quadrio is an academic and philosopher. His primary interests relate to the philosophy of Religion, modern European philosophy, and the politics of secularity. He is the author of a book on Hegel and has produced several collections, in particular and with Robert Sinnerbrink, he has edited a special edition of Critical Horizons Journal focusing on Simon Critchley's neo-anarchist politics.

WHAT IS LOVE? 

Everyone talks about love - every magazine and newspaper and every preacher is constantly preaching about love.

I love my country, I love the king, I love a book, I love nature, I love pleasure, I love my wife, I love God. 

Is love an idea? If it is, then it can be cultivated, nurtured, surrounded by affection, imposed, changed at will.

We love someone, we sleep with someone, the exchange of feelings, companionship - is that what we call love?

Can love be divided into the sacred and the corrupt, the divine and the human, or is there simply only one love? Is love one thing and not many things?

Is love personal or impersonal? Ethical or immoral? If you love humanity, do you love each one individually? Is love an emotion? Is love a feeling? Is love pleasure and desire? 

All these questions show that we have created a perception of what love is, norms about what love should be and what should not be, a social code that dictates us how to love and when to love.
