A Debate in Honor of Constitution Day featuring Alberto R. Coll (DePaul University School of Law) and James W. Ceaser (University of Virginia)
Coll and Ceaser will debate to what extent the United States is an exceptional nation. The question of whether the United States is special, unique, and/or morally superior is a hotly contested one that has appeared prominently in recent presidential campaigns. More than just a theoretical issue, how we answer this question has significant implications for both foreign and domestic policy. The debate, in celebration of Constitution Day, is being co-sponsored with the Jack Miller Center for Teaching America’s Founding Principles and History, DePaul University College of Law, and with the generous support of the Brinson Foundation.
Recorded November 19, 2015 at Lake Forest College.
