Joshua and his army show a lot of faith in the nonconventional style of warfare they display. Sometimes the Christian life can have the same characteristics. What walls are you marching around?

God’s desire is for us to worship Him, but worship can look different at different times. Sometimes it is in a celebration or a service, other times it is privately on our knees. Ultimately though, worship is our ticket to God’s will in our lives. Read Joshua 5:10-15

God calls us to be obedient. Sometimes that obedience can be viewed as ‘risky’. When Israel crosses the miraculously parted Jordan, God reminds them of a covenant that they were required to keep; the covenant of circumcision. It doesn’t make much sense for an army to be physically unfit for battle as soon as they get into enemy territory. What will they do? Read Joshua 5:1-9.

What does stepping out in faith look like to you? Where is God calling you to "cross your Jordan"? This week we will look at how God is establishing Joshua as His spokesman for the Israelite people as they cross over into the Promised Land.

We all like to be assured. We can learn about God's reassuring nature in the way He presents Himself to Joshua as he takes over for Moses in Joshua chapter 1.

God delivers on all of His promises but we have a responsibility to do our part. God may have something for us but there are times when we have the responsibility to take a "leap of faith". Join us this week as we begin a new series on the book of Joshua called, "Be Strong And Courageous.
