I'm Dean, and welcome to my podcast, Legacy Voyage. In Season 1, I'm documenting my journey to earning my first 100k net worth as a full-time college student.
Today, I had a significant epiphany while walking in the gym and chatting with my uncle. I've always been obsessed with the idea of "What's the cash value?" What's the cash value of your beliefs, your relationships, your skills, and all the things you do?
It struck me that at the end of your life, you're going to pay for it. If you've been eating poorly, neglecting exercise, and being unhealthy, you'll pay for it with a shorter life. Conversely, if you've been exercising regularly and maintaining your health, you'll reap the benefits in your later years.
What's fascinating is that the cash value of something is subjective to you. For example, believing in the truth of the church and Jesus Christ brings positivity into my life, making me happier and those around me too. However, for someone like Alex Hermosi, who believes life is fleeting and ultimately inconsequential, that belief has its own positive cash flow.
This realization is crucial because it will shape how I live my life from now on. I'll continue sharing my journey with you, so stay tuned.

Yesterday, I ‘officially’ launched Nesian News. Here’s the story behind it…
Every day I meet cool Polynesians doing BIG things: lawyers, investors, entrepreneurs, engineers — but there was a problem.
No one knows them. So I did the first thing I could think of.
I connected them to each other. It was like clockwork.
Cold LinkedIn connect → call → intro → repeat. Most calls went like this…
Intro
Getting to know each other. How are you? Where you from? etc.
Ask Questions
Diving into their story and career. What’s your story? How did you end up doing X? etc.
It’s the most important part of the call. I’m looking to see how I can GIVE VALUE.
“Oh you’re doing X. I know a Samoan doing that same thing”
“You live in X. Lemme connect you with another Tongan out there.”
“You’re looking for X. I know some people who might help.”
Post-Call
Making intros and connecting Polynesians to each other.
It worked… but I wanted a better way.
Some way to connect Polynesians and share their stories with the world. Then it hit me!
The Almanack of Naval Ravitkant. (highly recommend!)
It’s wisdom from Naval Ravikant. An entrepreneur, philosopher, and investor GENIUS.
Leverage. What’s leverage? It’s efficiency/productivity. Getting the most out of what you put in.
A 47-minute podcast or a 3-page blog post lives on the internet FOREVER! Doesn’t matter if 13 people consume it or 52,000.
The plan is to keep doing what I’m doing (with a slight twist).
