Now, the U.S. Attorney’s office in Kansas is seeking the forfeiture of that money, arguing that the sales violated the federal Controlled Substances Act — even though medical marijuana is legal in Missouri. Former U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore passed away Tuesday, just days before his 76th birthday, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and a brief bout with cancer.
