It's the wrap up of Starrcade 86 and we have 4 big matches. Dusty and Tully bring comedy gold in the form of JJ Dillon in their first blood match for the World TV Title, the namesake of the show is on display as the Road Warriors and Midnight Express climb those scaffolds and bring us the less than stellar Night of the Skywalkers match. The Rock 'n Roll Express and Andersons bring their long boiling feud to a conclusion in a steel cage for the World Tag Team Titles. Lastly the Nature Boy walks that aisle to defend his NWA World Heavyweight championship against the Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff. We have a little belated talk about WM 40 and wrap things up with a bonus match from Japan as the Road Warriors and Funk Brothers lock it up over seas.

JCP rides the wave of its most successful summer and tragic fall into a showdown between Flair and the Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff. But before we get to the main event matches we focus on the first 8 matches on the card including a Louisville Street Fight between Ron Garvin & Big Bubba and the feud between the Boogie Woogie Man and Paul Jones finally comes to a head. We're off to Houston for a unique WWF event, the Paul Boesch Retirement Show. We dig into the unique history of the territory. The evening includes a big Hogan title defense against the One Man Gang. Tito Santana teams up with Mil Mascaras to take on Demolition and Ted DiBiase and Jim Duggan tussle in a Mid South/UWF reunion. The commentary team is bizzare and leads us to discuss one of Jim Ross's funniest stories from his days as Leroy McGuirk's right hand man.

Before we can get to the October 1987 SNME card we have to take in the greatness of the summer of 1987. In the post WM III glow we see the intro of several new wrestlers. We follow the Dragon's short lived IC title run, catch a great match between Tito and Butch Reed, a rare syndicated TV match by Hogan and of course that fateful morning that we saw Steamboat defend against the Honky Tonk Man!
