Gohl was not who he appeared to be. Manipulative, self-absorbed, and cunning, he had plans to steal the money, delivering sailors, or slaves, to the captains of the ships, earning kickbacks and claiming what he thought was rightfully his. And if a few men died in the process? Well so be it. They’d probably be better off.

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, the town of Aberdeen, Washington (famous as the birthplace of Nirvana front-man Kurt Cobain), tens of thousands ship workers and loggers seek their fortune. But among them, a serial killer lingers to take their keep... and send them to the bottom of the bay.

Sailors trusted him. Employees relied on him. He claimed to keep their money, and their lives safe. That was a mistake. Those that put their faith in Billy Gohl would find themselves prisoners on ships heading toward China, or worse, SINKING to the bottom of Grays Harbor near Aberdeen, Washington.

A ghost train. A murder. A plea of insanity and a mob in the streets. The Devil's Bargain wraps up season 1 with tales of hauntings caused by the mysterious demise of those dwelling in the town of Leavenworth, Washington, in the early 1900's.
