Shamshera is yet another of Ranbir Kapoor's much-awaited film, where he would be seen along with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. As reported by a leading daily, the Karan Malhotra-directed venture will apparently see Ranbir playing a double role.

Singer Sona Mohapatra and comedian Mallika Dua got into a verbal fight on social media after filmmaker Arghya Basu committed suicide earlier this month. Sona's friend filmmaker Nishtha Jain had accused him of for sexually assaulting her during the Indian #MeToo movement, and now Mallika slammed Sona for her missing reaction, post-Basu's sad demise.

Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel, who is also an acid attack survivor, took to her Twitter handle to express her support towards Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak. Deepika in Chhapaak will be seen essaying the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who fought to instil a law against the sale of acid and chemicals at local stores.

Deepika Padukone's fans are unhappy as she lost the Best Actress award to Alia Bhatt at the Filmfare Awards 2019\. Fans flooded social media with their unhappiness and also began calling out the award. Deepika then took to Instagram and commented on one of her fan pages and apologised to her fans
