Iconic former Leicester City Manager, Martin O’Neill joins his former players Matt Elliott and Gerry Taggart on this episode of Leicester's The Place.
The Northern Irishman arrived at Filbert Street in 1995 and despite a difficult start, went on to oversee one of the most successful periods in recent history. O’Neill’s four-and-a-half seasons saw a Play-Off victory, three League Cup Finals, two of which ended with wins, and two qualifications for the UEFA Cup, and four consecutive top-half Premier League finishes.
He discusses winning over a hostile Filbert Street crowd, signing Matt Elliott despite his scouting mission, those ‘Martin Please Don’t Leave’ signs, plus Wembley glory.
