America's Race/Class/Pow-er Conundrum: Can Freedom and Democracy Truly Be Achieved?

Americans like to believe their country holds aloft for the rest of the world to see its bright, shining beacon of freedom, equality and justice for all. 

We know that at best these are what we hope for and aspire to achieve. The events of the past week remind us we have far to go, as we battle our way through the American conundrum of race, class and power.
