On this episode of the Beyond the Helmet we are joined by former 9 year NFL Cornerback, Leigh Bodden.
Leigh showed up at Duquesne to play football with little fan fare. 4 years later he would be recognized as one of the most prolific cornerbacks in 1AA history. The 28 interceptions somehow was not enough for a team to take him in the NFL draft.
Bodden would carve out a 9 year NFL career after making the Cleveland Browns roster and being a standout on special teams. He would earn his way into being a starter there before going to Detroit and eventually New England. Eventually injuries began to pile up and a rotator cuff plus a bad back going into year 9 ended up forcing Leigh to call it a career.
