  • Jason Gray, MegaStar of Studio C, Master impersonator, All around great human being

Ah, I could sit and chat with Jason for hours.  He’s the kinda guy you just want to hang out with all the time.  Such a great and humorous dude who dared enough to dream big.  When all of his applications to dental school were denied, he felt his future path crumble before him.  His comedic partner in crime, Matt Meese, suggested to him to jump in on this crazy adventure with BYU TV with their project Studio C.  Back then, they had almost zero dollars for their pilot.  But they went for it, and with an incredibly supportive audience, made an awesome series that brought the likes of Conan O’Brien and JJ Abrams knocking down their doors.  Despite their incredible success, Jason has continued to be humble and approachable.  He is gracious with everyone.  Hope you enjoy listening to him as much as I enjoyed chatting with him.

John Rowa truly knows how to create.  As a 16 year old, when the internet was just becoming a thing, John created an internet radio station so he could chat about sports.  He just wanted to find a way to share his voice.  And it went viral.  Then through amazing circumstances he managed a forex hedge fund in his early 20s!  And then came the crash of 2008 and he felt the blow severely.  He just got married and he had no idea how to support himself.  But John always knew the way out was forward.  He put his head down and went to work.  After remembering his passion for growing things online and connecting with Greg Trimble, he went from a lonely IT guy to the President of Lemonade Stand.  John has never forgotten his roots or struggles.  He continues to give and give.  He's all about helping the underdog.  About finding those less fortunate and giving them an opportunity to succeed.  Enjoy!

  • Matt Labrum, The Football Coach Who Tackled Cyberbullying

When Coach  Matt Labrum got a whiff of the sluffing, the poor grades, and the cyberbullying, he knew he had to take action.  Through a bit of investigation, he learned that football players from his team were responsible for these actions and knew that he needed to teach a lesson about accountability.  After a series of discussions with members of faculty, assistant coaches, etc, he decided to suspend his entire football team for a season.  Word got out.  After a few local news stations interviewed him for his decision, he received a call from Anderson Cooper on CNN.  The story went worldwide, praising the coach for his actions.  Coach Labrum however remained very humble and shared that he didn't want this to be about him.  He wanted the students to know that poor decisions won't go without their consequences.  Coach Labrum sat with me for a bit and chatted about his personal philosophy and what we can do during these times of struggles brought on by unprecedented circumstances.  Enjoy!
