In this short, micro but personal episode of LPXP, I open up about a moment that changed everything for me — a serious car accident I was in back in 2005. That wreck could have easily taken my life, but for reasons I still don’t fully understand — I’m still here.

As time goes on, I’ve come to realize just how important gratitude really is. Sometimes it takes near-tragedy or major life events to force you to step back and see just how crazy and rare it is that any of us are even here. Every person we meet, every opportunity, every friendship — it all comes together in this wild web of circumstances that could’ve played out a thousand different ways.

In this episode of LPXP, I share one of the most important moments in my life — the moment I found my dream job in the most unexpected way. I was in the middle of a financial struggle, unsure how much longer I could keep going, applying to jobs with no responses. Like so many people stuck in the grind of job hunting, the process was exhausting, discouraging, and full of doubt.

But I kept scrolling. Past page 5. Past page 10. All the way to page 23 on Indeed.

That’s where I saw it — the job listing that would completely change my life. A career opportunity right in my hometown. The very thing I was looking for was sitting there, buried deep where most people would’ve given up long before reaching it.

This short story is a reminder that the opportunity you're searching for may be closer than you think — if you’re willing to keep going. Whether you’re facing financial hardship, considering a career change, or simply trying to stay motivated during your job search, this is a real-world example of what can happen if you refuse to quit.
