During the most recent lockdown in the UK, I have had the time to properly go through my camera settings while spending more time at home, alongside getting to know the new features that are part of my Sigma lens. So for this episode, I have provided some information about what settings I use most regularly when I photograph wildlife outdoors.

As we are all once again staying at home more often, I took the opportunity to test our my new hide in my garden. I also mention the garden birds spotted throughout my time in the hide.

For my first walk, talk and shoot episode of 2021, I walked along the bank along the River Welland on a cold and frosty morning.

With current lockdown restrictions in place, it may be some time before I feel comfortable enough to do more walk, talk and shoot recordings, but please be assured I have other ideas in place until it is safer for me to travel further and record more Fenland wildlife.

Despite England going back into a second lockdown, I decided to release this episode anyway. I talk about the various mammal and bird sightings you could potentially see during the autumn and winter seasons.

Over the last year I have contemplated upgrading some of my photographic equipment, as I felt as though some of my current equipment wasn't best suited for the images I wanted to capture. So, I have decided to purchase my first - brand new, not secondhand - telephoto lens that I have had my eye on for quite some time!

An early get up during the month of October can only mean one thing in the wildlife calendar... I recall my encounters from Bradgate Park in this sit-in episode, with some delightful sound recordings at the end of it.

A lovely walk in the autumn sun resulted in one of my favourite wildlife encounters to date. I also managed to see a once in a lifetime sighting of a bird that has made headline news in recent months. Join me for a walk around Bourne Woods, with quite a few unexpected sightings!
