This Lent we're getting to know some of the stranger voices in the story of faith. The mystics are those who've pointed beyond head knowledge of God to a more intimate kind of knowing. Beyond simple statements to awe. Beyond knowable creeds to union with God. Our particular brand of protestant Christianity has largely lost this thread over the past few hundred years, and so for the next six weeks we're going to learn from their experiences and teachings as best we can.
