Lent Day 22 Ruth 4:18-22 The Son Part 2b- Get in Line
Join Susan Downie your host as she wraps up the book of Ruth ,using notes by Toni Merida from his reflection called Ruth for You. Susan finds that genealogy and lineage points to future events.
She describes her disappointment with her gardening skills as the polar opposite of the promises that God gives us in the book of Ruth.
Exploring how jews and non jews, Murders,Adulterers, prostitutes, moabites, woman as well as men are all included in the genealogy of Jesus. Which was not the norm at the time of writing. She indicates this is proof that Jesus came to save sinners, and that meant all sinners.
Susan uses gardening analogies and life experience to bring God's promises to life for each one of us.
She finishes with a prayer for us all and a reminder that Jesus is the Messiah the annointed one, promised from Abraham to today to all who will believe.
