You know the story of the prodigal son. He took his inheritance early and went out and blew it on women and booze and partying until he was penniless. It was so bad, he was taking care of pigs and eating their food. For a first century Jew, that was as bad as it can get. But what we miss is this story is not about the prodigal, but about the self-righteous older brother who stayed. The issue real issue in this parable is between law and grace. Q&A to follow.
