This episodes guest is Leo Ryan from Innate Strength.

Leo Ryan is a Health Performance and Breathing Specialist and the founder of Innate-Strength.com. Leo has studied athletic training, health and breathing since healing himself of asthma in 2004 with the Buteyko Method. After graduating with an MSc from University College Dublin, he continued to educate himself prolifically throughout his professional career in Ireland and internationally. He has attained multiple diplomas and certificates from much elite personal training, physical therapy and breathing schools including Dip. Buteyko Method, Wim Hof Instructor, Oxygen Advantage Instructor, Fascial Stretch Therapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Pilates teacher.

Leo’s love and experience for health and physical performance have seen his research more than 50 breathing techniques, the mentor with coaches to Olympians, UFC Fighters and World Champions and he undertook several internships with the world-renowned Dr Eric Serrano.

Up to 2019, Leo has spent a lot of his time coaching one-to-one in a personal training environment and testing his training methodology on himself. Leo played Senior club GAA football in Dublin with St. Sylvester’s. He is a black belt in judo, he ran marathons without any specific training, he gained more than 52 lbs of muscle, and he even climbed a mountain with nothing but a pair of shorts and boots. His clients have healed cardiovascular disease, asthma and anxiety. They’ve reduced symptoms of depression, panic, colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. Some have gained weight, purposely and others have intentionally lost weight. The best thing is, they’ve also gone onto to return to their passions in life, like tennis, running and Gaelic games.

Leo continues to train people one-to-one and he also coaches the fundamentals of breathing, movement and resilience for life and athletic endeavours through workshops.

RB
