Throughout the many novels, novellas, and short stories I’ve encountered there has been many a time where I’ve encountered stories that could’ve done with a little more tweaking in the publication stages. I’ve always asked myself the question, ‘Was this a rushed release or did the author not have the means to find qualified persons to help them in the final stages?’ Or even more sinister, ‘Were the proofreaders and/or editors selected or hired doing a half-assed job just for the chance at a free book?’ Let’s talk about it.
