This week on Les Incompetent, we go over the US Presidents that served during the Vietnam war, which covers JFK, LBJ, Nixon, and Ford. We go over what each accomplished in office, what dogs they had (big fans of Checkers) and their defining Legacy, or for Nixon, what he did besides Watergate. We go over what each president did for the war effort, and what changes they implemented at a governmental level to alleviate the loss that was occuring in Vietnam

On this weeks episode of Les Incompetent, we cover the 1967 oscar winning film "The Graduate." While being a great representation of the Baby Boomers, its also a great look into the Greatest Generation and what they were pushing onto their own children. We cover the impact of characters such as Benjamin Braddock and Mrs. Robinson, and we confront the use of Simon and Garfunkel music throughout this film. 

On this weeks episode of Les Incompetent, we go over influential films during the era of Vietnam, and the monumental shift that occured in Hollywood, particularly in tone and themes. We go over the icons of the 60's and 70's, the Oscar winners as well as highest grossing movies from every generation as well, showing the way America changed its favorite actors and directors across a 10 year span, and how we really haven't lost the actors from the 70's nowadays. Also, we really did not like the French Connection. 

This week on Les Incompetent, we go over the 1971 film Dirty Harry, starring Clint Eastwood as Harry Callahan, a cop in San Francisco hunting down the serial killer Scorpio. We discuss the similarities to the Zodiac murders, how influential this film in not only pop culture, but on police in general, and how this movie introduces a new type of figure, one that is darker, morally gray, and one who has questionable judgment.

This week on Les Incompetent, we do a deep dive into the music of the 60's and 70's and discuss the huge shift in tone, meaning, and sound. We go over artists like Elvis, the Beach Boys, CCR, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix. We also talk about the significance of the shift and why it plays a vital role in the anti war effort.

This week on Les Incompetent, we are going to be covering Oliver Stones 1986 film Platoon. We will be covering its legacy, its incredibly deep cast of characters, and its accuracy to the Vietnam War. We will also be discusssing the two sides in the film, and what it means for the evolution of warfare
