Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Barış Akardere aka Beraber, organically blends Chicago’s classically schooled keys and machine-made backdrops with subtle, atmospheric textures. His studio is packed with analogue and outboard gear, which defines his sound, and is located in the same building that once hosted the legendary De School club. His soulful and introspective sound is reflected in his acclaimed radio show, "Gentle Actions," on Amsterdam’s RRFM.

Here, returning to United Identities, Beraber sets the tone for long summer evenings and sun-soaked days with a deeply personal collection of music that encapsulates a period of creative and personal growth. Rather than a concept record, it serves as a document of the past years of his musical evolution and marks the first time the producer has used his own vocals in his productions. Further vocal contributions come from Barcelona-based artist Ivy Barkakati, whose lyrics perfectly resonate with the journeying narrative of the EP.

The ‘Gentle Actions EP’ opens with the single 'Between Us', a calm mood-builder gracefully layered with meandering pads. 'Distant Language' picks us up with its dubbed-out groove, guiding our feet on a journey through melodic landscapes. The wonderful ‘Responsibility’ is an introspective track with a powerful message about turning dreams into reality, while ‘Lost in Loops’ is a loose and soulful house cut featuring the artist’s own vocals. The vinyl journey ends with the more upbeat instrumental 'Good Company', which is topped off with a deep, nocturnal remix by São Paulo's Zopelar, a mainstay of the Brazilian scene and global underground with a sound that spans house, techno, broken beat and disco with great style on labels like Tartelet Records, Royal Oak and Nómada Records. He brings a serene, cosmic energy with chatter and percussive grooves that get ever trippier.

Digital bonus cut 'Afterthought' is a serene blend of soothing vocal swirls and smeared ambient pads with wiggling bass and pumping deep house drums, while Zopelar also serves up an Acapella Remix of 'Responsibility' ft. Ivy Barkakati for layering into sets with emotive results.

After ten years of building a reputation as one of Mexico’s most distinctive voices in electronic music, Theus Mago

reveals his long-awaited debut album ‘MUN/SEA’, landing on 6th June 2025 on DGTL Records.

‘MUN/SEA’ is a genre-defying journey through sound, emotion, and identity. The album spans ten tracks and reflects a sonic departure for Theus Mago, whose earlier work was often defined by dark, club-focused tones. Here, he embraces a broader palette—from playful, wide-eyed synth adventures like ‘Do Androids Dream Of Dinosaurs?’ to the breakneck club energy of the rave-charged single ‘The F-Train’. Also featured, tracks such as ‘Casa Furiosa’, a dynamic, percussive-heavy standout, showcase Mago’s talent for creating tension-filled, dancefloor-ready moments across a kaleidoscopic and absorbing journey.

Deeply personal and creatively expansive, ‘MUN/SEA’ serves as a “disguised homage” to Theus Mago’s three-year-old son, who contributes vocals on the whimsical yet heartfelt ‘Kuni Kuni’. That influence is felt throughout the album’s expressive, colourful, playful and often cinematic tone. “The album has its ups and downs, its bright moments and dark moments. Just like parenthood,” Mago—real name Mateo—explains.

Built primarily with digital tools but enriched by carefully placed modular synths, ‘MUN/SEA’ balances technical precision with emotional depth. Vocal elements and spoken word passages add further texture and storytelling, creating a vivid listening experience that blurs the lines between the dancefloor and the personal.

Theus Mago first launched his project in 2014 while immersed in Paris’ leftfield electronic scene, drawing inspiration from acts like David Shaw and The Beat, La Mverte, Yan Wagner, and It’s a Fine Line. Now based in Mexico City, a decade later, ‘MUN/SEA’ represents both a return to those creative roots and a bold step forward, offering a perfectly punctuated statement of artistic evolution.

On June 6th, CHLOÉ and her acclaimed label Lumière Noire release the second volume of their Flash mini-VA series, welcoming a dynamic lineup including Costello, LAUER, Paresse, and label favourite Destiino.

As the visionary behind Lumière Noire, CHLOÉ has long been committed to curating a space where cutting-edge electronic music can flourish. With a keen ear for innovation, the Parisian DJ/producer has built a diverse roster of forward-thinking artists whose sounds are equally suited to art galleries and installations as they are to clubs and festivals.

The release will be previewed by LAUER’s single H00V, dropping May 22nd, ahead of the full EP on June 6th.

Costello – “Fresh Flesh”

Opening the VA is Bordeaux producer Costello, known for his versatile and genre-blending style. Fresh Flesh is a jagged and unpredictable ride, driven by fractured melodies and eerie organ strings. With nods to dark disco and minimal house, it sets an intriguingly edgy tone for the release.

CHLOÉ & Destiino – “Venere”

A long-time collaborator of CHLOÉ, Yuksek returns to his Destiino alias for an exclusive joint track. Venere is feverish and choppy from the outset, featuring abstract melodic clicks, hissing synths, chunky bass, and mystifying effects that combine into a robotic, hypnotic soundscape.

Peach Discs’ first EP of 2025 comes from DJ, producer, curator and all-round doer of great things James Priestley aka Secretsundaze. Lead single "Mordisco” out June 6th serves to highlight both the UK x Colombia connection found in James' relationship to Paula, as well as his love for Latin American music in general

Night Out is the third collaborative EP by Alfred Czital and Ayū, dedicated to high-energy dance music and inspired by their nightlife experiences. The record features solo tracks, joint contributions, and two digital bonus remixes.

The A-side opens with Alfred Czital’s transcendental solo track, “Universal Language,” a composition infused with punchy beats and sonic whispers. It’s followed by Ayū’s “Magnetic,” a fast-paced, progressive bubbler featuring ultra-sensual vocals.

The B-side delivers a soundscape of grooves and scattering melodies. It begins with “Physical,” a collaboration between Alfred Czital and Ayū inspired by early 2000s trance anthems, uplifting sounds, and hazy vocals. “Love Letter from Montevideo” closes the record with a memoir inspired by Uruguayan rolling electronica.

The bonus side begins with Alfred Czital’s “Rita’s fav,” dedicated to the Harmony crew member, followed by “Find You,” a trance kicker by Ayū - that is both sweet and alluring - tested on Ankali’s dancefloor. Wrapping up the EP with “Feeling so fly,” a remix born in a not-so-serious studio session. Guava returns to Faux Poly as the first artist to release a second EP on the label. Shifting gears into a faster, Techno-focused territory all whilst breaking up the EP with his immersive signature oscillating Dub-Techno-esque atmospherics. This new record is a departure from Afterglow, further embracing light and dark moods with a hypnotic intensity throughout that feels both urgent yet deeply considered.

This release opens a new chapter for Guava, as he embraces the weight and velocity of the dancefloor without sacrificing his signature playfulness. The result is a dynamic, high-energy follow-up that solidifies his evolving sound making ’All Out’ the perfect next step for both the artist and the label.

Words from Guava:

"This record was written in a flow state. For me, it was the most enjoyable EP I’ve made, and I think you can hear that in the music. It came about due to a slight shift in mindset regarding the creative process. I started by making an Ableton template as a way to limit my options. I spent a couple of days trying to nail a sound - referencing and experimenting with different instruments. I would then set a timer and “mess up” what I had created. The deal was that I could do anything I wanted.

This approach was a game-changer for me because it created a cohesive sound across all the tracks. A lot of my process was inspired by one of my heroes, Alexander Rodchenko, a photographer and graphic artist from the Soviet Union. What fascinated me most was the limitations he worked with - he didn’t have access to the fancy digital tools we use today. There was something about that constraint that I envied, and I wanted to bring a similar sense of restriction into my own creative process."
