My apologies - I dropped yesterday's audio file into today's episode, but it has now been corrected. This is one of our last pre-corona virus recordings.
There are so many moving parts in maintaining a home, and very few people actually see how it is done as children any more. Then "POOF" they are an adult with responsibilities including managing laundry, dishes, general upkeep, meals, and so much more!
The ONLY way to manage all the chaos is to create a system. In today's episode, Justin and Shawna discuss the book, "Large Family Logistics" and why the systems described by the author are needed by families of every size, and arguably, even by single people. The idea for creating these systems can even be applied to the workplace.
The key to these structures or systems is linking TIME with TASKS. For example, certain times of the day are set aside for certain tasks. Certain days of the week are designated for certain "themes" of tasks.
This book, tho written originally for stay at home moms, is beneficial to anyone seeking more peace, and a less chaotic home.
