1. So, what can we do in our “Spiritual
Body” that cannot be one in our “Physical body?” Ex. “[Jesus]!”
– So, “Why” is Jesus our example in this matter? Because Scripture tells us that when Jesus
Returns, and we receive our “[Resurrect/spiritual bodies]” we will
be just like
Jesus (1Jh.3:2).
“Beloved, now we are “[Children of God]!” – and it has not
yet been “[Revealed]” what we shall be – but we know that when “[He is
Revealed],” – we shall be “[Like Him]!” for we shall “[See Him]” as “[He is!”
2. Jesus was able to “Appear” in
various physical forms in his appearance. Jesus Appeared to “Mary Magdaline” (1st)
– but she did not immediately recognize Jesus (He physically looked
different). We know this because “Mary,”
upon seeing Him and speaking w/Jesus, she thought he was one of
the “Gardeners!” It was at this
point “Jesus” reveals Himself to her, and Mary then recognized the
man as Jesus! Then Jesus commands
Mary to go and tell the other
Disciples he had
Risen (Jh.20:14-18).
This all occurred in the “[Early Morning]” of the 1stday of the week (Sunday Morning – we call Easter)!
3. However, in the “[Evening],”
Jesus appeared to Disciples in the appearance of Himself
as they had known Him (unlike He had appeared to Mary), so they
recognized Jesus, immediately. But Jesus did not need to knock on
the door – He just appeared before them in the “Midst” of the
room. From this example of Jesus in his “[Resurrected/Spiritual
body],” – we also know that our “[Spiritual body]” will not be
limited by physical matter (doors, walls, etc.), but will have the ability to
just appear at our wills (like Jesus), at God’s direction (Jh.20:19). This was Jesus “2nd”
appearance after his Resurrection.
4. However, on the “3d” time
Jesus appeared to His Disciples, it was on the “[Sea of Tiberias],”
– And He took on a different appearance. Peter and other Disciples had got up early
to go fishing, but had not caught any fish. So, Jesus appeared, and told them to “Cast
their net on the “Right side” of the boat and they would catch fish. Now, the Disciple Jesus loved (John),
said to Peter, “[It is the Lord]” – so Peter rushed and put on his garment,
they all sat by the fire Jesus had made, and ate the fish, and bread
Jesus prepared for them (Jh.21:12).
“Jesus said to them, “[Come and eat
breakfast],” – yet none of the Disciples dared ask Him – “[Who are you]?” –
knowing that it was the Lord.
Jesus then came and took the “[Bread]”
and gave it to them, and likewise, the “[Fish].” This is now the “[Third Time]” Jesus showed
Himself to His Disciples after He was “[Raised from the Dead],” (Jh.21:12-14).
So, we know from these “3” examples of
Jesus appearing in different personas, the “[Spiritual Body]” is capable of
taking on various
looks/appearances.
5. So, why is this important for us who
follow Jesus to know? Because many Believers are under the
assumption (through false teachings) that we will be like “[Ghosts]”
floating around and doing nothing. So,
God is now revealing to Believers what to expect when we are “Resurrected”
at Christ’s Second Coming. And I
leave you w/this Scripture.
“So, also is the “[Resurrection of
the Dead]!” – the “[Body]” is sown “[Corruption],” – it is “[Raised]” in “[Incorruption]!”
“It is sown in “[Dishonor]” – it is
raised in “[Glory]!” – it is sown in “[Weakness],” – it is “[Raised]” in “[Power]!”
It is sown a “[Natural body],” – it is
“[Raised]” in a “[Spiritual body]!” There is a “[Natural body]” – and there is
a “[Spiritual body]!” (1Cor.15:42-44).
