Lesson 290 From A Course In Miracles...

Happiness isn't something we need to create or chase after in the future; it's our natural state that's already present when we stop looking at what isn't real. The only things hiding our present happiness are the illusions we give attention to—past grievances, fears, and worries are like clouds blocking what's already shining.

• Happiness is always present unless we cover it with illusions
• Seeing isn't adding something new but removing distortion
• The ego's world is just a projection of fear and separation
• Choose to withdraw belief from the dream's authority
• Practice holy focus by refusing to give mental energy to anything that's not happiness in God
• We're not trying to create happiness but allowing ourselves to receive what's already given
• The difference between chasing happiness and recognizing it
• Happiness isn't conditional, future-oriented, or earned

Twice a day, every hour, and any time your happiness seems obscured, repeat: "My present happiness is all I see."
