I had a goal to Podcast every day.
I started back in October.
During the first ClickFunnels 30-Day Challenge.
And I did it.
Every. Single. Day.
For over 50 days straight.
And then the holidays hit.
I was traveling with a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 1-year-old.
I was out of routine.
I was with extended family…in an area with SLOW internet.
And I fell off the wagon.
I missed two weeks.
“Oh, I’ll catch up later,” I told myself.
“I’ll just record fourteen episodes all at once…”
But ONE episode in a day is completely different than FOURTEEN.
With so much catching up to do, I was tempted to put it off another day.
And then I realized.
Wait a minute.
I don’t have to “make up” for the days I missed.
I don’t have to do FOURTEEN episodes in one day.
My goal was ONE episode a day.
And today is just ONE day.
So I just need to do ONE episode.
I can have the same goal today that I had the first 50 days.
And so I did it.
ONE episode.
And now I’m back on track with my goals.
So many people set goals.
Especially around New Years.
And when they fail…
When they skip one day…
They put DOUBLE the pressure on themselves the next day.
And then they skip day two.
And now have twice the guilt.
But you don’t need to do that.
What were your goals this year?
What did you plan on doing every day—
That you already failed at?
Don’t feel guilty.
Don’t try to “make up” for missed days by doubling or tripling…or 14x-ing the pressure.
Just start back again with TODAY.
And keep meeting your goals.
One day at a time.
