Smartphones are ubiquitous in society: Everybody has one. The use of smartphones in schools ultimately comes down to how they are used and regulated by the school and its staff. We can ban technology, but at what cost? Once the cat is out of the bag, you cannot put it back in. Instead of banning smartphones, perhaps we should be teaching children how to use them effectively.
