No matter what you do, life will never make sense to you without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Today Pastor Mark shares that if you're ever going to do life the right way, you have to do it on God's terms. Getting on track, starts when you admit your need for a Savior and allow His radical love to transform your heart. After you've taken that important step you'll need to replace your worldly understanding, with God's true wisdom. True wisdom is found in scripture, where as promised by God, all you have to do is admit you need it, ask for it and then He'll give it in abundance to you.

If you didn't know already, there's no one else like God. He know's your beginning and He know's your end. He knows the decisions you're going to make before you make them. He even has knowledge of who's struggling with what they should do, how it's going to be accomplished and when they should make it happen. Wrapping your mind around this concept is huge. Today Pastor Mark teaches that the single fact that He's an all knowing God makes Him the only source of true wisdom. There's lot's of voices in our world but only God has an eternal perspective, the other's are limited by what they can't see.

Who is wise and understanding among you? James wasn't trying to get a show of hands, he was trying to get Believers to wrap their heads around the fact, that true Christianity was more than head knowledge, it was a new way to do life right. Today Pastor Mark helps drive home the point. He explains there are two kinds of wisdom. Human wisdom, which he say's is false and God's wisdom, being true. Human wisdom is envious, selfish, prideful and rude. Godly wisdom is humble, sacrificial, generous and kind.

True wisdom is living life on God's terms, giving you purpose and bringing Him glory.

Lost people matter to God and they should matter to you and me. Our main purpose in life is to know God and make Him known. Today Pastor Mark teaches that we're called to go out and rescue lost souls and the way we do that, is by sharing The Good News. We need to keep in mind that what comes out of our mouth and how we live our lives, is a direct reflection of what we believe about God. Jesus was good at going to where the people were, creatively meeting their needs and inviting them to follow Him. It came natural to Him, because He understood and embraced His Father's vision. Christ had a burden for the lost and today Pastor Mark teaches, that where there's a burden, there's a vision. He explains that a vision is a picture of the future that produces passion, now. And in terms of eternal life, it's God's dream placed on the Believers heart. God will provide practical ways you can share with the lost, just be obedient and willing to follow His Son's lead.

As Believers, there's potential for life in our words, but there's also the possibility they contain death. Today Pastor Mark teaches that it's God's Word that connects Believers to Him. He points out that when we open The Bible, God is opening His mouth. And when we're plugged into The Source we'll experience His Truth, understand His direction, benefit from His blessings and have the confidence to share His vision with the lost. You might be the only Bible some people will ever know, what's it saying to those who still need a Savior? Remember, He sent forth His Word to heal them, to rescue them from the grave.

Today Pastor Mark covers a lot of ground. He say's it's important that if we call ourselves Christians, we must be careful with what we say and how we say it. Some situations make it difficult to remain graceful and that's when its best to just keep silent. James one, twenty six says, if you think you're a believer but can't control your tongue, you're just fooling yourself. God designed our mouths to speak truth and help others do life right, so when you're tempted to be critical or just want to complain, consider this. Do you want to reap the consequence of life..or death?

The Lord appeared to the Apostle Paul when he was feeling low and discouraged. Pastor Dave teaches us that the Lord’s encouraging promises to Paul should also serve to encourage us. Jesus promised to be with His children and to never forsake us, and as such, we have nothing to fear going forward.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. For some of us that would mean we'd never speak again! Today we're learning that what you say and how you say it has the ability to enhance, or destroy your testimony. Proverbs thirteen, three says, those who control their tongue will have a long life, but opening your mouth can ruin everything. Today Pastor Mark reminds us, the heart is the control center where all our decisions are made. It's what we allow in, that comes out so we must pray, Let everything we say be good and helpful, an encouragement to those that hear.

When we have control of our tongues, what comes out will be good words, which is the verbal equivalent to good works. Even though the tongue is one of the smallest parts of the human body, scripture say's it has the power to bring death and life. Today the text we'll be studying is directed towards Believers, and the point James is trying to get across is that, if your words are appropriate, it indicates you're a real follower of Christ.
