What is church discipline and why is it something we should embrace rather than run from?

On Palm Sunday we recognize that Jesus is King - but He is more than a King who sits on a throne! He is a Shepherd King who get out in the field looking and searching and seeking His sheep that have been lost!

Jesus said there is no place for sin the life of a disciple. He feels so strongly about it that He tell us to cut it out of our lives. Sin leads to death and Jesus wants to offer you life if you are wiling to follow.

Jesus made a clear point to the crowds: children are important to the Kingdom of Heaven, and model for adults how to rely on God in faith! This message is two parts: one part was directed to the children in the congreation, and the other was to the adults. However - both messages apply to all!

Jesus set the example for us by living out of humility. Will you choose to live that way as well: I don't have to, but I will.

Everyone faces mountains in thier life - relational, emotional, physical, legal, spiritual ...the list can go on and on. Jesus wants you to know that He is ready to meet you at the base of the mountain and love you regardless of what you face!

The transfiguration of Jesus is one of the great mysterious moments of Scripture - but it gives us the distinct hope of a life lived in holiness and the future glory of heaven!
