Healing…moving through life’s hard parts….reinventing ourselves….recovering. Whatever the journey is where it gets uncomfortable often eventually gives way to something else. Come along with me as I share more about healing from my “break” and how it’s been two steps forward and 1 step back.

You’ll have to listen to this episode of my last pregnancy loss (which was two years ago) to understand…but I realized after I recorded this for you that this is episode #8! 8 was the theme of that pregnancy and so I am not surprised that the Soul that did not physically incarnate is still guiding me. I wrote this loss story down years ago but never shared it, until now. I hope you take what you need from it, or share it with someone that might need it. I can see more clearly now where this miscarriage was leading me, and that is a beautiful realization to have.

This week I was presented with more challenges from the Universe; teeth stuff, kid stuff and a renewed focus on some surf fundamentals. The Ocean is constantly reminding me, even when I am taking a break from her, how to be with the energies coming in and how to navigate them. We can’t control the water anymore than we can control life but our consciousness matters in how we respond.

I fractured my foot a bit ago and I am fully leaning into healing and allllllll the lessons that can come when the Universe gives us a firm STOP to our normal routine. This can be our experience in life for a variety of reasons, not just injury, and our choice is to sit in the uncomfortable and do and feel all that we need to during this mandated rest. Come with me as I share my honest experience and thoughts and also what recovery can look like when life takes a turn!

“Stoke” isn’t just for surfers; it’s a state of being that is alive and joyous and keeps us focused on expanding our life force, rather than just on linear or mental goals. I know that this internal way of choosing to be reminds us that we are alive, and there are no better teachers of this than our kids. Listen in to the stories from the week and share the stoke with me!!

“There is room in the ocean for everyone” say some. But is it true? Some days it is, and some days it feels like a competitive mess with not enough waves. Join me on my recap of this week surfing amongst other humans. What happens when we set the intention to connect in healthy ways with others?

Some days I want to write the Ocean a letter because what the heck? Being uncomfortable and feeling disoriented is a part of surfing and a part of life.

In this episode, I share the experience of storm surfing and life during storm Lala; as well as diving into what it means to “be good” at something. Whether that something is surfing, another skill or even mothering, I would love to hear your thoughts after you listen.
