Kieran and Derek are feeling like a pair of Super Trooper's as they are joined by Janne Schaffer to celebrate the release of the new studio album Voyage by ABBA. Janne is a Swedish songwriter and guitarist who has had huge solo success in his native Sweden but is better known as a session musician with the Swedish icons.

Janne was invited by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson to play on sessions in 1971. Janne played on People Need Love, and was ABBA’s most frequently used guitarist until he got too busy with his own career in the mid-1970s. Janne contributed to all of ABBA’s studio albums, with the exception of The Visitors.  Some of the more famous songs to feature his work are Ring Ring, Waterloo, SOS, Eagle, I Have A Dream, Super Trouper and Under Attack.

We also talk of Jannes experiences of working with Pink Floyd and Bob Marley.

It was great to hear the stories behind many of the most popular chart toppers we all know and love. John regaled us with tales from the music industry and his own personal journey through music. For this week's episode Derek and Kieran are Joined by Will Sergeant founder and guitarist for Echo and the Bunnymen. Will has recently released his memoir, "Bunnyman". The book is a no holds barred look at life in a working class area on the suburbs of Liverpool. We discuss the influences and music Will was listening to that would lead him to forming the band and playing the legendary Eric's and eventually propelling the band to international success.

Dave became a member of The Housemartins after replacing Hugh Whitaker on drums, we discuss the genius behind the video "Five Get Over Excited" which introduced Dave to the public as a member of the band. We also talk about the formation and outstanding back catalogue of music from The Beautiful South. Dave has released his new album "Cool To Be Kind" with his band Sunbirds and is embarking on a national tour.

Kieran and Derek are joined this week by James Warren and Al Steele from the brilliant Korgis. A band with its roots in prog rock with Stackridge, they played the first ever Glastonbury, James would eventually form The Korgis with Andy Davis in 1978. Bursting into the mainstream with their highly melodic tunes, thoughtful lyrics, strong vocal harmonies and uber-catchy hooks eventually resulted in commercial success with "If I Had You" The Dumb Waiters album was a big success largely owing to the runaway hit 'Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime'.

The Band are back with the innovate release " Kartoon World" an album that spans generations.

Thomas also formed the Duckwoth Lewis Method with Neil Hannon to critical acclaim. Great stories of growing up in Dublin and meeting the icons of the music industry and of course playing and recording with the multi talented Matt Berry.. Derek and Kieran are joined by singer and songwriter, Mark Reilly from the band "Matt Bianco"

Matt Bianco is a UK group formed in 1982 by Mark Reilly (vocals),Danny White (keyboards) and the late Kito Poncioni (bass) , all originally members of the band Blue Rondo A La Turk. For their first album "Whose Side Are You On ?" they hired unknown polish vocalist Basia Trzetrzelewska. Her vocal arrangements gave the album a jazzy dimension that Reilly and White couldn't anticipate and hits like "Get Out of Your Lazy Bed" and "Half a Minute" turned Matt Bianco into one of the biggest acts of the 1980's.

Matt will be on the road with the band in 2021 and have released the new album, “High Anxiety”.
